Pedagogy (/ˈpɛdəɡɒdʒi/ or /ˈpɛdəɡoʊdʒi/) is the science and art of education, specifically instructional theory.

Origin:
The word comes from the Greek παιδαγωγέω (paidagōgeō); in which παῖς (país, genitive παιδός, paidos) means "child" and άγω (ágō) means "lead"; literally translated "to lead the child".

Now I know that in e-learning, only the 'e' part is new. Learning has its own science and it dates back centuries.
Cheers!

The word elearning was coined by Elliott Masie in 1999, in Disneyworld.
Hmm! Now I know where all the creativity comes from. ;)
